Knocking noise is either piston slap or rod knock. Just gonna keep driving until it gets worse or blows up. Because one dollar car.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t this run of Nissans built here in ‘Murrica?

New Smyrna - now I remember. Test drove a new one, wound up going CRX Si. SE-R more practical though.

Undoubtably. CRXes are pretty cool though. I’m a fan of old Hondas, especially fast ones.

Yes. I also cut open the oil filter. Hardly any metal to speak of in any of them, though there was lots of gas in the oil I checked it today and the gas was not back so I’m assuming that was from when I hooked up the fuel pressure regulator wrong.

I often wonder if that car exists somewhere, unmolested. First car I had w/ a CD player, but I had to install it. If the temp in the car was over 80, the deck would spit out the disc.

I haven’t put any gas in it in weeks.

JayhawkJake had a pretty close to stock 1990 CRX Si, and in the garage right now is my dad’s girlfriend’s minty fresh 1991 CRX HF. Both red. Only thing modified on both of them is the head unit because Honda radios are known for their reliability and longevity. Or not.

Mine was a white ‘91 CRX Si - sold it w/ 12K on the clock because after college, I would not need a car during law school in DC. It was flawless ... often wish I’d kept it out at mom’s house .... Could have driven it every other week, heated up the exhaust, kept it.

Had a Sentra coupe in highschool. I wished everyday that it had a sr20 and a 5 speed. The ga was scary slow. Especially with the auto.
